Dear Dawn,

i have just read your book and i have not been able to put it down!! I have wet myself through most of it!! I was born in 1956 and reading all your exploits and the things that happened with you was almost a carbon copy of my own youth. I so related to the kissing/pop idle thing etc etc!! ( I am now happily divorced and have a man friend with whom I have great sex on the now and again basis I want it on) and he's a great kisser!!!!!!
I have been so inspired by your energy and enthusiasm and your book has lifted me at a time I need just that. fate is a strange thing.. i go into WH Smths in Chipping Norton not knowing why and there you are... larger than life smile on the cover of a book and I think yea, I could do with a injection of my kind of humour!!
Your opinions of things like mamma Mia was exactly the same as mine! I thought I was the only tosser that thought not much of it ( not that youre a tosser you understand, but you know what I mean!!)
Anyway, you probably get a zillion e mails but I just wanted to let you know how much your book has meant to me.

Wishing you and your dear family very many happy days

With Love

Couldn't agree more, dear fatty is an amazing book. What a fantastic read! I especially loved the list of things you did whilst babysitting, good stuff. Keep up the good work, very moving and hilarious. 10 out of 10! Well done x

I think it was just a clever way of formulating a 'reply' to this book that is written in the form of letters. Or? Anyway, I really liked it too. Especially to be able to follow how F & S slowly came about and grew. Not to mention the fabulous photos!

Even if Dawn doesn't read this, I still have to say I love her book. The best laugh I had while reading it was when she was describing how she crushed her fingers when she was trying to sneak into her parent's bed. And after her dad helped her she was going to "help" him by getting that "thing" off of him. Haha! The whole book is really great.

Dear Dawn

Your book appeared in the window of Waterstones and I walked by wishing I could pop in and purchase a copy in my lunch break, but I had a mission, playmobil hospital, playmobil advent calendar must be fairies not baby jesus, playmobil boat, cargo station, cargo crane - oh for god sake. Unfortunately the playmobil got the vote otherwise I would have had two very distressed children on christmas morning. I did ask father christmas for your book but it did not arrive, maybe I wasn't good enough. Well its now arrived thanks to ebay and some kind person who sold the book to me for 99p. Its in immaculate condition and I cant stop reading it. We have a lot in common, as I was born in North Wales, in bangor but my dad lives in Maltreath, Angelsey not far from Holyhead. It seemed funny seeing the pictures of you in wales and makes me home sick.

I am glad I managed to get the book, you have made me laugh and cry but even though I got your book for 99p I wont sell it, it has pride position on my book shelf and there it will stay and when my daughter is old enough to read it she can borrow it! Anyway I am sorry to hear all your news recently and wish the news paper people would leave you alone and your family. Your normal and normal mum and that's how it should be, as well as a fab writer and actress (but we wont shout about it at school sports days!)

Take care, your an inspiration. Nicola
